Rendering In Nottingham
What Is Rendering?
Popular throughout the world, in particular Southern Europe, Rendering can be seen on homes around Nottingham, but many don’t have it and are missing out. Rendering is the process of adding a coat of cement, sand and lime plaster to the walls of a house, so as to protect them from potential erosion.
Why Render Your Walls?
External Walls -
The main function that external wall insulation serves – as mentioned above – is to protect from weather damage and other potential damage and erosion, however, that is not all it does, as long with this can also help a homes insulation by thickening the walls, and help you completely redecorate the outside of your home, with different application styles and coloured paint finished available.

Internal Walls -
Slightly different in purpose to external rendering, internal rendering provides more aesthetic benefits than protection from the weather, however that does not mean its a waste of time by any means! Internal wall rending not only contributes to home insulation, it also helps you style or smooth your interior walls, and apply a lick of paint to give a great new style to your home.
The Process
If a wall is being renders for the first time it is of particular importantance that the wall is clean and has nothing growing on it, so all walls are thoroughly cleaned and treated for mould and plant grwoth. Then, a harling coat of aggregate and lime will then be applied and left for a few days to increase the bonding for future coats. After the initial coat has been left for those few days to ‘cure’, upon return the first coat of actual render mixture can be applied in a similar way to plaster, in even coats of around 8-10mm. Our expert team of renderers in Nottingham team are skilled in the application of render so they know exactly the best way to go about the job, and after a few more days, and a few more coats of render, your walls are fully protected, and your home ready for a nice splash of paint to start turning heads!
