What Is Rendering?

Why Render Your Walls?

External Walls -

The Process

If a wall is being renders for the first time it is of particular importantance that the wall is clean and has nothing growing on it, so all walls are thoroughly cleaned and treated for mould and plant grwoth. Then, a harling coat of aggregate and lime will then be applied and left for a few days to increase the bonding for future coats. After the initial coat has been left for those few days to ‘cure’, upon return the first coat of actual render mixture can be applied in a similar way to plaster, in even coats of around 8-10mm.
